Beschreibung
This thesis examines growth-neutral wineries and explores whether and how growth ambitions can be replaced by strategic sustainability and resilience targets. The prerequisites für such a paradigmatic shift are analyzed and in addition, the transformative character of the winieries is considered and placed in the context of a post-growwth society.A single case study is constructed to gain in-depth insightsinto a growth-neutral German winery and the results are evaluated by meand of a qualitative content analysis. Complementary expert interviews with owners of growth-neutral wineries are performed to expand the findings. Certain values and personal attitudes ware determined as decisive factors for paradigmatic change. Awareness about one's own impacts on the environment is an important driver. For example, a rise in sales is not sought for enrichment, but as a means of achiving a balancce and developing the company. Here, strong, intrensic motivation on the part of the owner-managers and a target orientation are crucial. Satisfaction, entrepreneurial freedom, and recognition are primary aspects in defining success. Moreover, courage, a proactive corporate culture, and adaptabilityare key to a successful strategic change.
