Third Info Day at the Wine Campus Neustadt

Taster lecture - campus tour - information exchange

Studying at the Wine Campus - the practical and well-founded education in a family atmosphere is what characterizes studying at the Wine Campus. With around 200 students, teaching takes place in small groups with individual support in the midst of vineyards. Visitors can also get to know this atmosphere at our Info Day on 25.05.2019. Our Info Day offers the opportunity for individual discussions with professors, training companies, students and alumni. With the taster lecture "The smartphone as a measuring device in winemaking", we take up the current topic of digitalization in viticulture and give an insight into everyday student life.

On the information day, visitors can find out about the entire range of courses on offer at the Wine Campus:

  • the dual degree program in Viticulture and Enology, including full winemaker training,
  • the three-year Viticulture and Enology course after completing an apprenticeship as a winemaker or cooper
  • the part-time MBA Wine, Sustainability & Sales program.

The program starts at 10:00 a.m. with an introduction to the Wine Campus, its degree programs and the subsequent taster lecture. The lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. Maren Scharfenberger-Schmeer on the topic of "The smartphone as a measuring device in winemaking".

At 11:15 a.m., there will be a campus tour of lecture halls, laboratories and the new wine technology center. On the tour, prospective students will also visit the St. John State Winery with Johannitergut.

From 12:15 p.m., prospective students can find out more about the vocational training program at the information exchange at the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture. At the same time, visitors can get an overview of career prospects after graduation. We invite you to individual discussions at various stations. Prospective students can find out more here: About stays abroad during their studies, about financing their studies and student housing, about current research on campus and about application and Admission requirements.

It is not necessary to register for the information days. We look forward to your visit.
