On-site operations at the School of Business and Society suspended due to coronavirus
Following an exchange with the health authorities in Ludwigshafen on the current risk situation in the context of the corona epidemic, the university's Executive Board has decided that teaching in presence form will be discontinued or will not be resumed at the start of the summer semester next Monday.
This measure will initially apply up to and including 18.04.2020.
Instead of face-to-face courses, i.e. on site at the university locations, virtual courses will be used on an online basis. We will provide further information on this in due course.
Our aim is to ensure that the topics and subjects are covered as far as possible and to avoid disadvantages for our students.
Nevertheless, the situation, for which we were unable to prepare adequately, represents a major challenge. However, this should be placed in the context of the huge social challenge that the coronavirus pandemic poses for humanity.
Until further notice,no extracurricular events or public events at the university in face-to-face form are to take place until further notice. We will provide further details.
The research area, administrative areas, libraries and central units are currently not affected.
A task force on COVID-19 has been set up at our university, which meets regularly and advises the university management.
