Student council students donate to Lebenshilfe Neustadt/Weinstraße
Last week, the Student Council of the Wine Campus Neustadt handed over a donation of 320 euros to Lebenshilfe Neustadt/Weinstraße. As part of the 78th Palatinate Winegrowing Days at the beginning of the year, the Student Council organized the annual charity get-together and set up a wine bar for a good cause.
The money donated to Lebenshilfe will be used to support an outdoor project at the day care center for adults with disabilities in Neustadt.
A round teak bench is to be built under the old cherry tree in the facility's garden. Moritz Haas, chairman of the Student council, and Tammo Behrens, who organized the charity wine tasting, are pleased to be able to contribute a third of the purchase costs for the seating.
Lebenshilfe expressed its sincere thanks for the commitment of the viticulture students. Timo Hilzendegen, head of the day care center, emphasized how valuable a shady place to meet in the garden is for visitors to the facility, especially in the hot summer months.
