Early birds watch out!

Upon receipt of your complete application by 30. April you will benefit from our early bird conditions!

The completed application for enrollment and all required documents are submitted to the program management and checked. Please note the checklist! There you will find detailed information on all the documents you need to enclose with your application.

Please note: in the 2024 summer semester, the procedure will be switched to paperless online applications. Applicants who submit their documents early, e.g. to benefit from the early bird rate, may have to register online at a later date.

The regular application deadline is July 31.

Applicants will receive an appointment for the selection interview in the form of a structured interview after receipt of the complete application documents. It is possible to conduct the interview with the head of degree program online.

To prepare for the interview, all applicants receive a business-oriented case study related to the wine industry.

Professionally qualified applicants without a first university degree will also receive the topic of the academic term paper as part of the aptitude test. The written paper can be written in German or English. The processing time is 6 weeks.

If all admission requirements are met, the Wine Campus Neustadt / Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society will issue an invoice for the tuition fee, request payment of the semester fee and issue a  confirmation of study place.

After enrollment by the Student Service Center of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society, students are assigned access to the OpenOLAT learning platform. All study-related information and materials will be made available there before the first week of attendance.

Access requirements

What you need to bring with you:

A completed university degree with 210 ECTS credits and at least one year of adequate professional experience after graduation.
Applicants whose first degree comprises less than 210 ECTS credits will additionally acquire up to 30 ECTS credits based on their accumulated professional experience by submitting a professional portfolio. Details and the necessary documents can be obtained from the program management.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act opens up the possibility for vocationally qualified persons to study for an MBA even without a 1st university degree. After passing an aptitude test, qualified applicants with a university entrance qualification and at least three years of adequate professional experience can be admitted.

A proof of the required professional experience (e.g. employer's reference, interim reference, confirmation of current employer, employment contract, proof of self-employment, or similar).

A letter of motivation (one DIN-A 4 page).

Successful participation in a selection interview in which a basic understanding of business issues related to the wine industry is demonstrated.

English language skills corresponding to level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Language Courses (CEFR) or at least comparable recognized proof.

Checklist for your application

Please enclose the following documents with your application:

  • Application for enrollment, fully completed and signed
  • officially certified copy(s) of the school leaving certificate(s)
  • officially certifiedcopy of the university certificate (if you have completed a course of study)
  • officially certified copyof the vocational training certificate (if vocational training has been completed)
  • Curriculum vitae in tabular form - chronological, without gaps and signed
  • Official certificate(s) of study time with details of the university semesters and subject semesters completed at a German university or college (if periods of study are available)
  • Proof of the required years of professional experience and work in the management sector (e.g. employer's reference, interim reference, confirmation from current employer, employment contract, proof of self-employment, etc.)
  • Proof of English language skills
  • Letter of motivation (1 DIN A4 page)
  • Applicants under 30 years of age: Insurance certificate from your health insurance company "for submission to the university/enrollment";

Please note: if you are privately insured, a certificate of exemption from statutory health insurance is required! You can request this exemption from a statutory German health insurance company. International applicants should contact the program manager.

If all admission requirements are met, you will receive a separate invoice for the tuition fee from the Wine Campus Neustadt with a different bank account details.

Certificates and documents not written in German or English can only be recognized if they are also submitted in German or English translation.

Take our exclusive online test!

Are you interested in the new MBA at the Wine Campus, but don't have a language certificate?

No problem! We offer our own online English test, which is recognized as proof of the required language skills for the Master's program!

The online language test was developed specifically for the MBA Wine, Sustainability & Sales and is recognized as proof of English language proficiency at level B2, which is required for admission to the "MBA Wine, Sustainability & Sales "*.

You can take the test from the comfort of your own home via the OpenOLAT teaching and learning platform. During the 90-minute test, our lecturer will be available via chat or telephone if you have any questions or problems.
