German engineering meets French viticulture

Since the winter semester 2024/2025, the Wine Campus Neustadt has been offering the career-integrated Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology in cooperation with the Université de Haute-Alsace in Colmar (France). The practice-oriented course lasts 4 semesters and is divided into study and work phases in a company in the wine industry. Innovative Course language: English addresses environmental protection, climate change, resource conservation, digitalization, competitiveness and sustainability. Adaptation strategies to EU requirements, such as reducing the use of pesticides, are also part of the curriculum. Course language: English is taught through practical projects, lectures and interactive workshops with industry experts and international guest lecturers. In the fourth semester, the Master's thesis is completed in cooperation with the company.

At the end of the course, students receive a degree from both universities.

The German-French integrated Master of Viticulture and Enology is co-financed by the European Union as part of the Interreg Upper Rhine program.
