Your ticket to the world of wine
The second study option, the Applied Science Programs (B), is aimed at Bachelor's graduates in natural sciences, agriculture or engineering who wish to specialize in viticulture and Enology and expand their knowledge in an interdisciplinary manner. The curriculum includes the teaching of core skills in viticulture and Enology with practical phases at the university's own winery. Bachelor's graduates with no previous knowledge of viticulture and Enology are offered basic modules lasting several weeks on the topics of Biology and Ecology of Vine, Enology and Viticulture at the beginning of the first two semesters.
The third semester takes place in another European country, preferably in France. It includes two lab rotations at a research institution in Germany or abroad, each lasting eight weeks. In the fourth semester, the Master's thesis is written at the university or in a company in Germany or abroad.
Procedure
In the Applied Science Program (B), students combine the first year of study at the Wine Campus Neustadt with an internship semester at a scientific institution in Germany or abroad in the third semester. The program concludes with the Master's thesis in the 4th semester.
